Dear Friends,
This Thursday and Friday June 23-24, the University of British Columbia’s Allard School of Law is hosting a conference on ”The Power & Limits of Private Law” (Canadian Law of Obligations III). The conference will honour the career of one of Canada’s most treasured private law scholars, Professor Lionel Smith, who will soon be leaving Canada for Cambridge University, where he has been appointed to the Downing Professorship of the Laws of England.
